The legislative committee that sets the budget for Oregon's mental health and addiction system will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, March 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. And they need to hear from you!
Oxford of Oregon members are strongly encouraged to attend the hearing of the Joint Committee on Ways and Means Human Services Subcommittee, which will be held in Hearing Room F at the state Capitol. We want committee members to hear our stories of how important recovery services funding is in Oregon.
There is no need to be a budget expert. We simply need to share our personal experiences and observations about what works and what doesn't in Oregon's addictions treatment and support services system. Testimony likely will be limited to no more than 3 minutes per person.
If you cannot attend, please consider emailing or calling committee members. Contact information is on attached page. For more info call Ted B. (503) 839-6978 I'll be there early, gimme a ring, let's do this!
